Wyrd Con Storytelling Contest
Rules
- The contest is open to all Wyrd Con convention goers.
- Advanced sign up at registration and attendance at the event is required to enter; space is limited doe to time restrictions.
- Each registrant is limited to one entry per event.
- The story must be an original work.
- Stories must be PG-13. Failure to follow this guideline will result in immediate stoppage.
- The following items are restricted:
- Explicit sexual content
- Graphic depictions of violence
- Anything that the judges or staff of Wyrd Con deem inappropriate
- Staff reserves the right to give a content warning, indicated by a yellow card. The storyteller is advised to adjust or risk a red card.
- If a staff member indicates the story is over with a red card, the storyteller must stop telling the story and vacate the stage immediately.
- Each participant will be given five minutes to tell their story.
- Special Events will provide a person to monitor the time for each story and will visually indicate a one minute warning to the storyteller to wrap up the story.
- Once the timer has run out, the storyteller must end the narrative.
